Winter Rain

Like most Rain does damper your mood but if it is only just sprinkling (light rain) then there is hope. Rain wear is very important to a golfers wardrobe follow these important guidelines:
  1. Make sure you can move and swing with one or multiple layers of clothes under the rain jacket.
  2. Look and see if the jacket has pit zippers these help get rid of moisture when wearing layers.
  3. Make sure every seem of the pants and jacket are sealed up where a zipper is not present
  4. Check your golf shoes to see if their water resistance.
With these easy guidelines your can keep warm and dry while playing in the fall, winter.

Fall Preparation

Fall is just around the corner and I always like to check and make sure all of my clothes and hats are in good condition before it gets cold. The prep work now is a cost and time saving matter when the season comes around.

Cost
This may seem simple but most people dont think about it until spring but you can find deals on short sleeve polos in the next few weeks or coming month. If your like me its easier to get a RL Polo at 30-45 dollars than the full price of 65-80 per polo. I love sales because it gives me an oppportunity to update my closet for little to nothing.

Equipment
For those who are not engineers or geeks like me then you may not know about Strength of Materials. DOnt worry I am not going to spit out abunch of formulas and scientific word. Simply look at your clubs because graphite has unique characteristic and you need to know what the lowest tempature you can play using your graphite shafted clubs.

Organic Golf

Organic Golf??? Well Not really!! I have started on a new diet not to lose weight like most diets. I am doing this to eat healthier and stop eating food that has been altered by additives.
I guess being green also help you feel better about your self. I personally need to start making good habits now.
Organic living can also help you on the golf course. You feel better and eat better then your energy to play golf.

The Fall and Winter is Coming

I took a year off from golf because work and life got in the way. Now I am back with more time on my hands as I start off a new career and finish up college. If you don't know, I don't play in the summer or late spring like everyone else. I prefer fall, winter and early spring to play golf. This bring outside challenges beside the typical golf ones.

The weather is a major factor. Which is one part I will try and help both men and women dress for different weather situation with out giving up the polo and dress slacks/skirt look.

I also will try and give you the fun world of the golf cart, from the new and greatest to the tricked out rides.

Until next time keep Cool out there.

The Solheim Cup

The start of the Best Team event in the LPGA, The Solheim Cup, I love watching this each year. I like team play like this because it lets you cheer for one team or another. So what about the golf outfits for this year, it seems like a base layer such as under armor or something along those lines. The base layer is what keeps you warm and the 2 or 3 button polo is just for the dress code. A wool hat is what you will see the players wearing to keep the heat from leaving their head. This is all part of playing golf in cold climates. You will see wind jackets half or full zips when the wind picks up. So please take a note from the players dress now because the inter is just around the corner.
